The challenge:
Managing resource information - data on assets such as machine tools, fixtures, robots, welding guns and process templates – can be challenging, especially if you have a wide variety of these components. Often this information is fragmented across multiple locations, may be non-graphical , and cannot be accessed by applications that need it.  Lack of easy access to this information often leads to wasteful duplication, lack of re-use and reduced standardization.

The solution:
The Resource Manager provides a library for a wide range of manufacturing resource data, from machine tools, fixture libraries, cutting tools and gages, robots, welding guns and manufacturing process templates.
The system comes with a default classification structure, which can be redefined. An inbuilt parametric search capability allows easy retrieval of resource data and associated 3 D models.
The Resource Manager is an application based on and tightly integrated with the Teamcenter® data management platform. This allows data to be retrieved from the Resource Manager and used directly within Teamcenter Manufacturing and NX CAM.
