Every NC programming job creates data files. In some cases it can be a problem to make sure you pick the right data to send to the shop floor ready for machining. At other times you may need to go back to an old job to do a repeat or an update and again it can be time consuming to find the right data.

ESTEQ offers data management for the CAM user, with full revision control. This can replace the separate directories on local disc drives with centralized storage of NC programming data.

Users can save and retrieve optimized NC data configurations for specific jobs, including part information, set-up and tooling data, and shop documentation output from the NC programming session. It ensures that the right data, correct tooling, and right NC tape or machine file are deployed, resulting in reduced delays and costs due to typical information errors.

The system uses UGS Teamcenter technology and can be extended to provide tool and fixture library/data management and classification as well as applications for part process planning.
