Data consumers are crucial for having a unified way of passing data to their renderers. The use of data consumers frees data viewers from the responsibility for obtaining data - they are just displaying data.
Poor data quality (DQ) can have substantial social and economic impacts. Although firms are improving data quality with practical approaches and tools, their improvement efforts tend to focus narrowly on accuracy.

There are two main aspects of this communication:

1.  For the original consume action the property channel provides a way for the data consumer to obtain the object to be consumed from the application and to return an object to the application following completion of the consume action.
2. It allows for subsequent communication after the consume action to inform the application and data consumers about changes to the properties of the consumed object. This secondary communication is between any number of components that are listening for property change events, which although normally occur between the application and the original data consumer, can also occur between any other listening components.
